What is the number one challenge for a recruitment company owner, or for that matter, any owner of their own business, whose business is established and successful?

Jobs are being filled, good placements have covered targets for the next few months, candidates & clients are passively rolling in. Sounds like recruiter heaven, doesnt it?

But this is the time the Owner needs to be careful because complacency sets in quickly and then mistakes get made, client & candidate service slips, and competitors start to pop up from nowhere. Boredom sets in..

The challenge is, of course, to remain excited!

Get excited about the latest newest technology out there. Get excited about new, lateral- thinking, out- of- the- box ways to market and advertise your business. Get excited about difficult clients. Get excited about expanding internationally, if you have not!

Excitement will get one thinking of new ways to make the business even more successful, grow quicker, innovate and make the experience for clients & candidates even better.

Yes, well done Linda

I think the secret is regular celebrations. Celebrate the big placements and the record months, sure, But also celebrate the small but important victories. First order at a new client, sizable margin on a long term temp job, sales visit secured with a key prospect

This drives a cultrure of success and everyone thrives on recognition

And of course when things are going well, set the bar ever higher!
