This is my account of Day 2 “The Afternoon” of Talent 42 2016.
To start off we had Justin Thenutai of Microsoft speaking on “How Microsoft Elevates Recruiting Performance with Market Intelligence”. Long story short it is on how to understand Market Trends to predict supply and demand to help in staffing planning. They use a lot of communication devices to ensure the info is shared, Sharepoint, Yammer and more. The key here is to know your market.
Next up was Customer Focus Gone Wild by Rich Simon of Amazon. He goes into who is the primary customer, the difference between want and need, Using data to inform, and setting up measurements for the HMs team as well as recruiting. The key to all this is the HMs are the primary customer, and you need to work together.
Lastly, well before the wrap-up, was Glen Cathey on Pipelines. Long story short you should be pipelining it is an essential part of staffing and helping your company grow.
The wrap up was hoots and hollers signifying the end of what was a great event
