The Client Side - Ours is not to reason why. Ours is but to do or.........

We had a really good week. There is a ton happening and I have that good kind of stress where you're just really scrambling to get everything done. Clients have come through with some really interesting job orders. Candidates are moving along in the interview process and the pipeline of deals is looking stronger than it has in a while. These are all really good things and billings are fine for the first 3 months of the year.

I don't trust it. Most clients have no jobs and no sign of jobs for some time, as far as they know. Unemployment is way up and business conditions still really stink for most businesses and most companies. So what gives? It doesn't really matter. Ours is not to reason why, ours is just to do. That's it. Whether we are on the cusp of recovery or experiencing a slight blip in the midst of a 10 or 20 year economic quagmire (Bear Market Rally in the Stock Market????), there is still business being done. I enjoy paying attention to business conditions, especially as they relate to recruiting, but in the end it's just entertainment. I'm not going to do anything different. I'm just going to keep doing business and if conditions improve, it will just be a little easier.
