I keep myself a set of process to do smart recruiting.I believe myself smart but i learn lot in recruitment through errors,fires and stepdowns etc. Earlier when i got in industry i don't have armor or strategies was a rookie now became a warrior .
My process starts with
1.Good Job Description which attracts talent as most talent look for excellent roles then their current roles what they are .By having a good description of job talent people are like bees attracted to the honey.
2. Sales mantra i learnt identify Prospect and Suspect,this gives a inch of feeling when i speak to a consultant is he suspect or really looking for job change in a first phone call,it reduces me to run back to wrong guy when he gets offered and ask for million dollar demands.It sucks do the suspect search in the start
3.Always when running through profiles are talking to consultant talk to him as investigative officer help me to know that he is genuine or suspect running away with offers
4.Networking sites helps to get people faster and also post relevant job postings
5. Meeting consultants on weekend either in restaurant or pub makes me to get closer in getting more networks from 1 contact to double all his contacts .Here i always put on image that he trust me i care for u and i m doing it sincerely .
6. Most important remember talents birthday/wedding anniversary/new baby born wish him/her on that day
