We hear about all of these social networking tools online. I think each tool out there has its own pros and cons, but like a database it is only as good as the effort you put in to utilize it. I recently did a quick audit on my contacts in LinkedIn and realize that 95% of my contacts are in the staffing industry. Now that is good to one degree, but also showed that my network lacked diversity. However one of my colleagues who is a recruiter has nothing but SAP candidates as her contacts,…

Here are a list of pet peeves I have while recruiting.
1.Musical voicemail-If I have to hear your demo tape, or how smooth you are, or hear a sermon i usually check out
2. When a candidate applies for the job, the recruiter calls him/her and the applicant acts like they can't be bothered
3. An applicant who leaves me a message with just their first name, no phone number and no reason to call them back
4. Creative email addresses..I once had a guy go off on me…

After years of buying PC's , gadgets, software, and having to update every piece of software I own almost every other day....after multiple glitches, crashes, freezes, processor hogging applications, and mystery error messages..after having to upgrade my PC every 3 years..I have finally bought a Macbook Pro. Thank you for starting the Atlanta group! I am in Minneapolis, but one of our major offices is in Atlanta, and I will be frequently searching for top architects, engineers and interior designers. I look forward to sharing ideas--and your advice on working in the South!
Hello Kevin,
Atlanta has two of the world's most respected Nobel Peace Prize Laureates (Dr. King and Pres. Carter). ATL also has four widely respected Nobel Peace Prize Nominees. Will you help me to deliver Atlanta into its true destiny of becoming a global capital of peace? I realize you’ve probably got much on your plate already. However, I have a dream you could become very integral fast, and without that much effort.
Atlanta: City of Peace soon adds another of the world's most respected Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. His Holiness The Dalai Lama speaks in Centennial Olympic Park on Monday. Can to join me and other peacemakers/ friends?
