Scott Love shares how to engage passive candidates on the phone

That long list of passive candidates is useless if you don't know how to engage them on the phone. This short video tells you exactly what to say.

Just viewed the video, thanks, I've been having a problem not getting a committment but getting people to follow through with resumes, follow up calls etc. and I think that problem lies in their motivation. I think selling to their "buttons", which is the first rule of selling will lessen that problem thanks for the basic reminder.

Scott's one of those guys who not only 'gets it' but is enjoyable to listen to. It's also very nice to go see all the things he gives away before asking for money. His reading lists from several years ago are still my favorites...

Excellent training video, Scott. First time I've heard you. I'm a 28 year Recruiter and found I encorporate much of what you suggest. Big thing with passive candidates is the counter offer as frequently their agenda is hidden no matter how many qualifying questions you ask or hoops they jump through, you still get disappointed in the end as their employers don't want to lose their top performers.
