When colleagues are posting resumes

This is more of a question than a pure blog post. What do you all do (if anything) when you come across a resume, say on Career Builder, of someone who works for your company?

I have had this happen several times in recent past and am wondering if anyone has examples of what happened. Did you tell their boss? Contact them directly? Do nothing? I'm saddened, of course, because I've found one recently for an individual who is a top performer in the company. I don't know the situation or reasoning behind it all, but them leaving impacts me because I will refill their position!

On another soap-box note, I find it interesting, at best, that these people actually leave their name & company name on the resume when clearly I'm recruiting in that same market as them and will naturally bump into their resume. I thought recruiters were more discreet than that.

Thoughts from others?

We've had that happen before and definitely shared the info with their manager. The manager was able to talk with the person and find out what was wrong and was able to address the employees dissatisfaction.
It always makes me wonder though, that in this day and age, for someone in the recruiting profession to post their resume online and not expect it to be found is just foolish.
If I was you, I would let their manager know so that your company can take steps to retain a top performer.
