Having the skills to be able to deal with pressure in a demanding position is a well sought after skill, but looking after your own wellbeing whilst doing so is something that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Cut Down On Coffee & Smoking

Nicotine and Coffee are powerful stimulants which can cause high levels of anxiety and is the last thing you need to de-stress. If it is a must for you to get through the day try these healthy coffee recipes but do try and drink less. Where possible try to reduce smoking also and don’t become dependent on it as a stress relief method.

Have A Chat

The power of conversation is a great way to beat stress. Having a relaxing chat with a friend or colleague is a great way to unwind. It will also give you the chance to stretch your legs and gather your thoughts before you get back to your work pile.

Know Your Limits

We all aim to achieve our best at work, but we also have to be aware of our limits. Showing that you can handle pressure is an attractive attribute but don’t take on more than you can handle.
