In essence, countless students are facing the same problem; they need the experience to secure a job and of course, still, need a job to get experience, it's pretty frustrating!

But the good news is, there are particular skills which you can use to land your dream job and of course, you can get them outside the world of work. That said, you'll want to figure out creative ways to let your employers know that you really have what it takes to perform excellently in your first entry-level job.

Now, the big question is, "How can you prepare or write your CV with no work experience?"

Well, there's no need to rack your brain here! This post is going to explore some tips that are sure to increase your chances of getting your first job.

Let's get started!

1. Outline Your Incredible Qualities

Ever seen someone giving a sales pitch? If yes, you know that the process is centred on figuring out how to sell your product or services to potential customers. For the most part, writing a CV is more like crafting a personal sales pitch. That said, it's in your best interest to take your time to figure out exactly what you want to sell.

How can you do this? Well, just start by creating a list of just about everything you're good at and of course, match each item on your list to some of the top skills that employers hold in high esteem. Creativity coupled with the ability to work with the team is sure to work great!

2. Start With a "Perfect" Personal Statement

As you probably guessed, your personal statement is the first thing every potential employer will see and read. That said, you won't be wrong to give all it takes to get it right. And we'll recommend you keep it short and straightforward — this is a top tip you wouldn't want to ignore.

At this point, you'll want to begin with an introduction that's centred on your education level and top skills. It's also great to add your university or degree subject, but just be sure that it's relevant to the role you're targeting.

3. Focus on Skills — List them!

Today, it's no longer news that most CVs start by listing your most recent employment, but as we know, you have no experience whatsoever — you haven't worked before! So, the best way to handle the situation is by starting your CV with a list of skills in your arsenal. Trust us; potential employers will find them to be more relevant (and even exciting) than actual work experience. As you probably guessed, this is the point where your pre-written list of skills come into play! All in all, be sure to make your skill-based CV compelling, relevant and of course, believable!

Useful tip: don't leave out apparent skills — they might actually turn out to be helpful in the workplace!

4. Make The Most Of Your Qualifications

You might not know this, but your qualifications can be an excellent source of transferable skills. For example, you can talk about your research abilities, that's if you wrote a dissertation as part of your degree or college work. It's also great to list skills acquired through independent organisation and planning, group project work and of course, any knowledge that's relevant to the role. All in all, never leave a blank space in the experience section of your CV — just play up your degree and get things going!

And that's it! These are four tips that are sure to come in handy when looking for your first job with no experience. Lest we forget, be sure to make your CV stand out from the crowd. How? Well, add some personality! Trust us; this will increase your chances of garnering interest and getting called in for an interview. Good luck!
