Most people in talent acquisition do not understand that there is a huge drop off from the time the candidate finds the job on a job board to the time they click the apply now button and land on the company’s career website to fill out the application. I’ve spoken about in at least 3 other episodes but having a standardized, native apply process is critical to fixing this point of failure in the application process. So why don’t all these ATS’s and Job boards fix it? Well, there’s no easy answer but a lot of it lies in the technology. There are 20,000 different job boards and hundreds of different Applicant Tracking Systems using different API protocols and application processes. Then there’s the “ownership” of the candidate information. Everyone wants to be the Source of the Candidate Application cause that’s how job boards get measured on success. So, if they don’t capture and track the candidate they don’t get the attribution of the candidate apply. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Today, I have the co-founder and VP of Marketing for Jobsync and they found a way to fix it the Native Apply sequence on both the job board and the ATS side of the equation. This is a fun conversation you won’t want to miss. So buckle up we’re gonna get started
