I wanted to point out a few creative pages that have been set up on RecruitingBlogs.com. The reason for this is that next week I will be announcing a contest and in order to participate, you will need a RecruitingBlogs.com profile. Of course you can wait until the announcement but now is as good a time as any to get one.

The contest will have to do with who can come up with the most creative and cool page on RecruitingBlogs.com. I'll give the details on Monday.

I'm having a great time with the site and have come across quite a few people I did not know before. I am also looking to plan a get together in Toronto in the next few months that will focus on Recruiting and Blogs and how the two really can and should be used together. Of course there will be a charity poker event at the end of the evening.

I'll give details on this next week as well. I am waiting for a number of scheduals from some people I have asked to lead some discussions at the get together.

I really want to get back to the basics of how a recruiter with a blog can increase his/her importance in the eyes of the candidates they already know and the candidates they do not yet know. This is really the value in my opinion a blog has to a recruiter.
