Hi Ricardo,

I'm new to the recruiting game myself but I found that Rebecca Sargeant's post from a while ago was a great education in what kind of income and career progression we can expect. It's a good read. Good luck!

This is quite possibly the highest paying hard work you can get into without a decade of college.  It is also a very low paying "easy" job if you so choose.

What do you mean, high paying if we dedicate the time and effort and low paying if we don't?

Yep.  That's what I meant.

If you work hard you'll be rewarded.  Whether in the end you are at the company you start at or not - the harder you work (paying attention all the way and always refining your approach to find what works for you) the more you will make.

This is not an easy job.

Agree 100% with Jerry.  It's an even harder career but if you love it and work hard you'll do quite well

Best job in the world!  You can make as much money as you want by working hard or as little money as you need to get by with just "sot of" being a recruiter.  And there are many stops in between.

Work harder, work smarter, listen to what works for others, know what works for you, perfect your delivery when talking with clients, candidates and every contact you ever meet.  Keep in touch with every one - my Christmas Card list ( New Year's card list) is over 1500.  thoses are my closest clients, candidates and clients.  Surprise those you speak with by remembering something they told you minths ago about themselves (they like fishing and go every October).  Allow them to see you as a person and a reliable source of information in the hiring marketplace.
