Tech advice required - I want to add all the links to all of the job boards and social media tools I use to my website so that when I post a job on my site it automatically feeds to all of these links

I have just commented on another discussion about sourcing out admin such as job posting and it got me thinking - I want to add all the links to all of the job boards and social media tools I use to my website so that when I post a job on my site it automatically feeds to all of these links.  Does anybody know if this is at all possible?

I already use several job sites that automatically post out to 20+ job boards but what I would love to do is just add the job to my website and the feed automatically posts to everything I have programmed in.  Why work harder, when you can work smarter.  Something like this must exist??  And if it doesn't then somebody needs to invent it!!!

I'm not very techy, so any advice would be appreciated.

I am testing a new product called Recruitics..  It may do something like this.. as well as optimize your SEO..  You might want to do a 2 week trial.. If you (or anyone else does), please tell them I sent you!!  Thanks!!

2 Things:

1. Recruitics is a very nice tool. We met with them at HR Tech. I will post most info on them here for you in a bit.

2. With a little tweaking you can add them via feeds to your site. The bigger picture though  is that you may want to look at something like Recruitics to manage this especially with the added benefits of the traffic they provide.

Thank you Roni and thank you Ryan!

I am going to have a look now.  I guessed there must be something out there like this however its such a mine field searching through results and then spending valuable time working it all out, reccommendation is so much better.  Not being a tech kind of person, I knew what I needed but didn't really know what I was looking for!  So a BIG thank you.  I will let you know how I get on with it.

Hi Sharon,

I completely agree... this SHOULD be a lot easier than it is!

One of the reasons Recruitics was built was to solve that exact problem. We now do many other things as well, including analytics/tracking for each job and PPC management in addition to job distribution but all functionality is built to make job promotion as painless as possible.

We'd be happy to chat to see if we can help.

Thanks, Tim -- Recruitics

Hi Tim,

Would love to discuss further, I reside in Turkey though (I am British living in Turkey for the last 4 years and recruiting for USA) So if we could converse via email to start with that would keep the cost down for both of us, my email is :

contact@writecv.info

I have gone through the information on the website and have some questions I'd like to ask.

Kind regards

Sharon

If I'm understanding your questions correctly - I'd suggest broadbean.com - it is pretty much the leading "social media/job posting" management tool.  A well-run company with over 30,000 users.

Thank You Jerry!  I have heard of Broadbean before a couple of years ago and had forgotten about it.  I am going to go and have a look now and refresh my memory :-)  I will let you know what I think.  Thank you once again :-)

Best wishes

Sharon

Sharon, I am currently using Jobmagic for this..  But there is also: Ziprecruiter, Catalyst, Meshhire, Datafrenzy and depending on the ATS you are using, tons more...

They all offer the same basic things and differ usually by 1 thing..  in other words ... there is no perfect solution that I have found, yet......

While they all post.. some can schedule the posts to repeat for you (on FB, Linkedin  and Twitter) which is a great time saver..   Some can even post directly to your Linkedin groups (without having to have you manually move them from discussions)...

I am always testing these, which is what led me to write my original post on outsourcing admin/social media... as I find myself doing more of these tasks and less time on recruiting.

Am I the only one who finds:  With all the technology, I am less efficient (and certainly, less social), than ever!!!!!

Hi Roni,

It is crazy isn't it!  The more technology we have the less time we seem to have.  Have to admit sometimes I do miss the old days when you would get excited about opening up the paper on classified day to read your advert that you posted and receiving a resume on nice crisp white paper in the post!

However, technology has opened up many doors and opportunities and as I am now a Virtual Recruiter I have to be grateful as I coudn't do what I am doing now if it wasn't for technology!  Have to admit though, my computer has become my new best friend, we share lunch and quite often dinner together as well as numerous cups of tea and quite often i can go a whole day without actually opening my mouth to speak (which for those who know me will find a bit of a shock as normally I don't stop talking)!  Thank you for the extra information Roni, much appreciated :-)

Ryan - I was actually pretty disappointed - I went to try out Recruitics - after 45 minutes of struggling with it, I gave up.  I love technology, and tend to be the "go to" geek for our recruiting team; but when the system won't let you log in, and you can't reset a password in 30 minutes, it's not saving me any time.  And there was no phone number listed on the website to provide any support.  Not a good thing.

I will be checking out some of the other programs listed.  My team currently uses ziprecruiter and bullhorn reach.  We also use another site called barefootstudent.com.  They are ok, but don't post to all the sites I'd like.

Thanks again!

After trying it our, Recruitics needs a little bit more work...

They are not ready yet....

Is anyone using Hootsuite???

** From Recruitics **

We're actively adding features each day but learned that a recent change to our signup/sign-in process wasn't cross-browser friendly last week. This login issue is fixed with our next version update this week.

Mellanie and Roni, we'd be happy to learn more about these challenges in order to help make our product better.  Our phone number 1-877-410-8004 is listed on our contact page and we're happy to speak anytime.

We're extending our free trial for all clients. I'm sure our core job promotion functionality will impress and we're continuing to improve the user interface and add new features constantly.

Thanks, Tim
