Jerry,
Congratulations. I would be interested in learning more about how you cultivated the relationship with this other recruiter. I tried to do a split once since I've been out on my own and it never worked out because the other recruiter went behind my back and placed a candidate that I had referred to him. The other recruiter was someone I trusted since we had worked together at one of the large franchise offices. I've been turned off by that experience and am just wondering how you vetted the other recruiter. Thanks.
Chris, I hear ya'. I wrote about this splits subject a while back and the experience that queered me on the deals...I am sure, looking back, I was too busy to think much about my "feelings" at the time but I do remember feeling like I was taking a risk at the beginning of the program... a reminder:
I’m not saying sourcers should not do business with those who approach with split deals. I'm just telling my own sorry tale of judgment.
