Detailed Job Description

SUMMARY

Directs activities concerned with supervising shop floor manufacturing. Ten (10) + year’s hands-on forging experience, with rolling mills and large hydraulic presses for the manufacture of Seamless Rolled rings, preferably within the Aerospace and Power Generation industry

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
• Plans for the arrangement of manufacturing within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Adapts machine or equipment usage to factory and production conditions.
• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Provides feedback to Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to qualify forging processes and best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Does process analysis to optimize cycle time, reduce costs, and remove unnecessary forging material.
• Trains personnel in the forging process of aerospace grade materials

In addition the following experiences would be recommended:
• Manufacturing experience with inspection techniques or basic inspection tools knowledge (CMM and manual)
• some experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Planning, AS9100, Tooling

Detailed Job Description

SUMMARY
Three plus (3+) years design and process experience in Aerospace and Power Generation products preferably with Seamless Rolled rings

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
• Define forgings dimensions and input weight, to insure meeting final form of the part.
• Design contour forging layout and tooling to produce contoured rolled rings.
• Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of the product to meet customer specifications
• Process analysis for continued improvement such as the removal of unnecessary material coverage
• Works with production regarding design concepts to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
• Acts as a technical assistant to sales and engineering to develop new parts
• Compiles data for preparing sales estimates
• Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required

EXPERIENCE
• The successful candidate will have experience with design in aerospace or other closely related manufactured products

Geotechnical Services firm with strong presence throughout the state of Florida, is looking for a Licensed Project Engineer or Project Manager for their Ft. Myers Florida office.

Position Description: Engineering Manager

Background:

Company's Fort Myers office has approximately 25 employees and revenues of $2.5 million per year.

Our service lines include:
 Geotechnical Engineering – subsurface soil exploration and foundation system evaluation – spread footings, driven and auger cast piles, ground improvement, etc.

Duties:

The Engineering Manager would be responsible for managing all engineering and technical activities in the Fort Myers office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Reviewing reports produced by staff engineers, field technicians, inspectors, and clerical staff.

 Signing, and sealing reports.

 Ensuring that all projects are performed in compliance with specifications.

 Ensuring that all reports are completed within applicable deadlines.

Candidate Requirements:

Candidate should possess a minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, a Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity), and at least 4 years of experience in two or more of our service lines (as detailed above).

Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills. They will be expected to discuss projects with clients both over the telephone and in person. They will be expected to write correspondence and reports. The candidate must be able to type and use office and engineering software.

The position includes primarily office duties but will also include some laboratory and field assignments.

Candidates must be dependable and be willing to work overtime when the work load requires it. Candidates must be self-motivated and be “team-players”.

Salary based upon qualifications and experience but would likely be in the range of $65,000 to $85,000 per year. A company vehicle would be provided (for business purposes only). Alternately, we may consider providing a vehicle allowance and allowing the candidate to use their personal vehicle for business purposes (vehicle must be suitable for intended use).

He is too high, considering the fact that his background does not match the job responsibilities. We are looking for a mid-level, even maybe slightly entry, between 70-90K (balanced with experience). 5-10 years is our range, but we are willing to accept someone earlier in their career.

We ideally need a mid-level go-getter ME PE, preferably certified FPE or on the short road to certification. We do not mind growing sharp talent in a 1 year or less timeframe. FP design focus/background is essential if this is the case.

Eureka, CA office has an immediate need for a Geotechnical Engineer

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
