To be totally candid here - I gotta wonder if Silicon Valley is a little Staffing Agency saturated, or if any other geography is for that matter, or if it is possible for anyplace to be saturated. As many companies are switching over to "vendor neutral" MSPs supplied by multiple agencies who have to jump through hoops of fire to get on those lists. No, I am not complaining, just wondering if anyone else has thoughts on this. Saturation? Vendor neutral? Pick whatever it is you want to respond to.

As a recruiter who actually lives in the valley, one of the issues is there are a lot of "Crappy" recruiting "agencies" in LA, Idaho etc who claim they are in the bay area. I personally don't worry about the competition as I'm a niche firm focusing on engineering roles and all of my clients come via referral. As the economy has picked up again, I'm seeing more recruiters but most aren't the level of quality that I provide. Robert Greene

Like any business- its going to be good for those its going to be good for..... superior marketing, service, and savvy can break you out of the pack. Its not easy, but then again, neither is recruiting in the first place. If you really have the knack......
