The other challenges is that the "service" is being sold as a way to make recruiting easier by just searching on Skills and Endorsements. As you said, there is alot of skill glut of unwanted and inappropriate skills on profiles. Both sides of the equation then have to game the system.
Another reason why I don't like Skills and Endorsements is it has been offered and not used well whereas other services such as Events and Signal have been taken away.
ttract passive or active talent - I would say that falls in line with the term Social Recruiting - more so when the strategy works in building that pool of candidates for the long term. On a side note let's not forget that all recruiters must be "social" in order to be good at recruiting offline or on. Utilizing the Social Platforms to attract talent in my books is Social Recruiting. Posting a job on Linkedin saying "I am Hiring" does not qualify in my books ...…

annoying that they've completely revamped my profile, deleted my feeds etc.
Because I am a recruiter I will go in and change re-create my profile to reflect my "online footprint" but I am not sure that the masses will.
My gut tells me that LinkedIn will see the true number "daily activity" and "active profiles" and that may disappoint them.
