Greener jobs on the way…Investments and their Impact

Awhile back I wrote a blog about the “Green Collar Jobs” and it looks like green sector is here to stay. The new administration is committed to reducing carbon emissions in an effort to fight global climate change. These new investments have the potential to provide economic benefits that go way beyond the primary one of emissions reduction.

The Immigration Act of 1990 started the government control… Continue

"Retention" Interviews - Before it’s too late...

Exit interviews do provide valuable information, but in most cases it’s too late. Even more insight can be gained from a “Retention” Interview. You can gain a powerful understanding by hearing what key people working for your organization have to say about life as an employee. What's working? What's not? How vulnerable are you to current employees leaving?

“Retention” interviews are intended to be pre-emptive. The interviews are focused on key people - those in positions of… Continue

The American Dream…

Will 2009 be the year for Comprehensive Immigration Reform? It’s off to a good start….The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act was introduced – again. The bill would provide a path to U.S. citizenship for undocumented immigrant minors who entered the country more than five years ago while they were under the age of 16 and who complete two years of college or 2 years of military service.

Really this is just a fraction of the real issues with our immigration… Continue
