for you question on software- most of the ATS systems that I have looked at will parse resumes. The cheapest one I found is Big Biller - I am pretty sure you can parse a resume in there. Also, CBIZ Software was another one that I believed you import resumes and it was not that expensive. I use SendOuts, which is more but hopefully it was good purchase for me and I parse from documents or text of an email. Good luck!
