Ethan Bloomfield from
JobTarget.com had by far the best booth at the
ERE show in DC for many reasons. Not only that, they were handing cameras out to everyone to take pictures of whatever they wanted. Then the cameras were returned and all of a sudden, JobTarget was the proud owner of hundreds and hundreds of pictures from the show. The results can be found at…

Last week was the ERE conference in Washington DC. It was a real success and people had fun. One of the things that has become a regular occurrence is the charity poker event. Over 10K was raised for the ERE
Foundation and I am honored to have been a part of it.
Hats off to Dave Manaster who every single time we do this, pays for the…

I’m here at the
ERE conference in DC and so far it seems the
oil is flowing and everything is running smooth. It seems at least to me that
Dave Manaster has a little black book but instead of phone numbers, it is
filled with the recipe for a smooth running conference. Everything here is
good. I have not seen the book but I am sure it exists.
Over the last many years, I have developed a real…

Tomorrow I will be interviewing
Gina Bianchini who is the CEO of
Ning. Ning is the company that provides the software the runs
RecruitingBlogs.com and about 75,000 other Social Networks. They have raised over 40 million dollars and have
Marc Andreessen in their corner. Not a bad corner to be…

I remember about 2 years ago I had my first conversation with
Harry Joiner. Since then we have always enjoyed our weekly calls about domain names and recruiting. This week we each bought a new one but that is another post.
Getting back to our first conversation,
Harry told me that he was convinced that agency fees were going to go down because he could not see how…

I am messing around with the layout of RecruitingBlogs.com
Ning has now limited the amount of things you can now have on the main
page. I have no issue with it. At first I did but now it seems I need
to take another look at what is on the main page and make some
decisions. Right now, I can't really add any more boxes so things are
going to change a little.
In the meantime, there are lots of pixels you can get for free and they
will last for 3 days. It's…

It's T
he Million Dollar Wiki and yes you can also
buy a blogger. I learned about this from a real good domain name blog called the
Conceptualist. He says you should avoid the hype but he figures the guy has made 50k or so.
I think this is something that we will see more and more of in the next year or so. There is absolutely…

Over the weekend, Ning launched a few other functions for the networks they power. One of these new functions is a "latest activity" feed. You can see everything that is going on now on RecruitingBlogs.com quickly. I have put this on the right hand side of the site and it will also appear on every profile page above the Live Recruiting Blogosphere Feeds. If it dives you crazy, let me know
