Can Recruiters Help me Raise $3 More for Kids?

I'm a sucker for a good charity and even more so when helping that charity comes with a good time. On Saturday March 7th I'll be taking part in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake 2009 event in Dallas, TX.

Bowl For Kids' Sake is the largest annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, providing funds to offer positive mentoring relationships for thousands of kids in our communities. Since 1985, this event has cumulatively raised more than $2.8 million dollars to help serve our local kids.

I've set a rather aggressive goal of raising $2,500 for the event and will be attempting to use social media channels to communicate the event and help to raise the funds. My RecruiterGuy.net blog is the first stage of communication to and will be followed by messages in Twitter and other social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. I'm very excited to enable the use of TipJoy as the primary method of receiving any donations for the event.

Please pass along the link where the full article and donations can be made (http://budurl.com/RGB4K2009) or retweet the message to spread the word. With just a $3 donation and a "retweet" we could really make a difference in many children's lives.

I'll be producing a fun video at the bowling event and issuing a huge heart-felt thank you to everyone that either donated or helped to pass the word along.

History of Bowl For Kids' Sake
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America began the Bowl For Kids' Sake fundraiser in the early 1980's, with several of the 500 nationwide agencies participating. Locally, our Big Brothers and Big Sisters agency launched its first event in 1985. We began with one bowling center, two bowling times and mostly our Big Brothers Big Sisters' volunteers forming teams. Today, the event spans two months and includes bowling centers throughout our 17-county service area. Most of the participants form teams through their company or organization. And yes, we still have Big Brothers and Big Sisters, along with their Little Brothers and Little Sisters, who help us Bowl For Kids' Sake.
