How to source on the lesser known sites!! Github

Github is a coding repository, were people keep their code, projects and more. Now  Github is well known in the staffing world. And a lot of recruiters try to source there, but many struggle. The reason is simple they do not know how. Well to do this without worry you need go no further than into your bag of tricks and pull out an old tried and true tool, called x-raying.

So to source within Github you simply need to create an x-ray string, like the one below.

site:github.com (ios | android) "Seattle" "joined on" "public activity" -tab.activity

If you run the strings above in google you will get the results below.

If you need more info on X-raying see my blog post http://www.recruitingblogs.com/profiles/blogs/seeing-what-is-really...

Next week we will look at Airbnb
