Yelp is an American multinational corporation headquartered in San Francisco, California. It develops, hosts and markets Yelp.com and the Yelp mobile app, which publish crowd-sourced reviews about local businesses, as well as the online reservation service Yelp Reservations and online food-delivery service Eat24. The company also trains small businesses in how to respond to reviews, hosts social events for reviewers, and provides data about businesses, including health inspection scores. Yelp is not well known in the staffing world. And not a lot of recruiters try to source there . The reason is simple they do not know how. Well to do this without worry you need go no further than into your bag of tricks and pull out an old tried and true tool, called x-raying.
So to source within Yelp you simply need to create an x-ray string, like the one below.
site:yelp.com/user_details?userid developer
If you run the strings above in google you will get the results below.
If you need more info on X-raying see my blog post http://www.recruitingblogs.com/profiles/blogs/seeing-what-is-really...
Next week we will look at Brand Yourself
