Why is opting for a Managed Service Provider solution the most practical and cost saving solution for managing contingent workforce?

From the Client-side

There is a great deal of change management that comes with implementing vendor management tools that includes a variety of clients and their business units, along with vendors and their respective Contractors. The MSP tool allows a Subject Matter Expert to transition this process with their vendors and their customers. Without the SME can allow a great deal of confusion. Without the know-how of using the vendor management tool, Hiring Managers can be without resources for critical projects, postponing deadlines that can cost clients a lot of money. However the MSP option allows the SME to initiate tasks so clients and customers can meet resource deadlines.

The MSP also carries expertise in their recruiting abilities. Through managing the hiring process with vendors and clients, the MSP streamlines communication to ensure processes are met. Only qualified candidates are acted on, and feedback is communicated back to vendors.

From the Vendor-side:

Candidate Feedback in the recruitment industry is an on-going struggle. Rarely will hiring managers want to be the bearer of bad news. It is the job of the Managed Service Provider to gather this feedback. Hiring Managers will have one point of contact to provide feedback, making the hiring process of their job easier. Additionally, they would prefer to have one point of contact along with communicating good and bad news to an MSP, as opposed to the vendor which can become confrontational. With feedback, vendors know where to focus their work making their efforts productive.

The VMS option is still very productive for managing contingent workers on its own. The ability to manage your requisitions and close them off is very helpful. The VMS can be your one-stop-shop for managing hiring needs. Automation is a natural transition that many clients are looking for, which is why the VMS option is increasingly popular.

Although these are my thoughts, I’m always open to reading your thoughts.
