Post Sourcecon Fall 2015!! Part 3
This is part 3 in my Fall Sourcecon roundup, highlighting the presentations at Sourcecon Oct 2015.
The 3rd Keynote was Shannon Pritchett’s “Don’t Let Automation Ruin the Candidate experience”
One of the first things she states is that we should know that the simple “we have a job for you”, or “here is our job”, sent out on twitter and other social sites really do not work.
She provides with a chart showing candidate search behavior
Interesting to see the habits of the candidates. Another interesting thing she mentions is that 2/3 of all directly sourced candidates were never asked to share their experience with the employer. Now let’s think about this that is 67% that is a huge number and not in a good way.
Now she then shows using a great picture of how bad companies perception of customer sat really is.
Now lets see 80% of companies think they did good but only 8% of customers. That’s a huge disconnect. Now here is an even scarier picture.
And now for the reason why it is not a good thing
So do we really want our candidates to have a bad experience knowing they are sharing it with their network and on the social sphere.
Long story short the end game is a simple statement
“You can’t automate engagement”
More to come next week on Sourceon Fall 2015
