It was on a day where it was overcast and the rain just wouldn't go away, it was at a time where someone doubted my ability to create incredible outcomes even though I had done so dozens if not hundreds of times before. Yet folks forget, and must be reminded again, and again, and again.
In the case of shifting circumstances, economic ill tidings, being torn from my chosen path by the winds of change, and other factors beyond my control, I made a choice that reinvention was the only thing that I had in my arsenal that could combat individuals attacking the very foundations of my chosen path. Even when I have the most compelling results to show, people may need to be reminded again, and again, and again.
The flower, it symbolizes rebirth, it has always intrigued me that when others seem to not see the results staring them squarely in the face how powerful a contributor you may have been fails in comparison to what they want in the short term now. Reinvention then is the saving grace as you tailor your approach to a skeptical world - with an iron will crushing the obstacles and leaving them churning behind like an overcome mountain, and then you set your foot forward with the pure indignation saved for such a time.
I will admit, time and time again, so many folks need that ultimate of reminders - you must know when to fight your battles, when to stay your hand, and know when to throw up the white flag of surrendur. You must know when it is right to have a new approach to your perspective, shine the light of passion through to the other side of the darkness and reinvent in such a way as no one ever again doubts the ability of your chosen endeavor as you flatten the monumental pillars of the iron curtain of other's doubts.
I have had privilege to do just that and it is the sweetest of victories when one maneuvers the direction with a forward archer's reach to the target. I have since many times seen those who would say that the inevitable direction you have placed finds its grace in the masterful inclinations that take you 100% onward to the mountains peak. On the top of the mountains we face are flowers galore. And a beautiful panorama of the ultimate choice of outcomes.
Seeing individuals sway and falter under enormous circumstances some beg to say what can be done? Reinvention the mother of all success, is the key way forward. I can't help but remember how many times individuals have stared me down and said you cannot achieve this or that, or that all hope was lost, or a goal could not be reached.
I beg to differ, and laugh in the face of such negativity, today for instance, I set my goals aright again, corrected several individuals in the aftermath of doubt, and inwardly set my firm hand on what I know is right and true, no one can stop iron will - it will not back down nor be quenched by the opinions of others.
I hold true to the most amazing Ralph Waldo Emerson quote that guides my hand daily - for I know who I am and need make no apology, nor do I need to be defensive when others question my firm abilities and natural outcomes - my present results during my day to day speak for themselves - they cannot be refuted - I stand as a top performer in my chosen endeavor and make no apology for such a thing. Excuses laid to the dust, individual sanction put to the side, and remarkable fluid purpose can be the direction of choice. I choose that - anyways back to the Emerson quote:
"What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule, equally arduous in actual and in intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness. It is the harder, because you will always find those who think they know what is your duty better than you know it. It is easy in the world to live after the world's opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
In so many words this means - hold true to your inward direction - your individual persistence, your chosen state of endeavor. Let not doubt creep in when individuals question the veracity of your cause, your choices, your inward sense of who you are. When the rubber meets the road I have one thing to show and that is my outcomes.
In the midst of such things it is also important to maintain some kind of dignity, a quiet humility about your business and with unalterable direction claim your victory.
It has been many times over, when individuals question your case, your momentum, when they harp upon you their baggage that you must rise over such piddly nonsense and be the richer victor - for no one can stop sheer will of purpose the purpose of reinvention.
To this day I have no doubt in my purpose, born of trial, born of luck, born of passion - individuals have nailed the label upon me and others with their opinions of what it is that I have to offer - no more!
All of us have within us the power of reinvention - it is an incredible mountain mover, where one day challenges bogged you down - tore at your psyche, drained all energy and left you near defeat - it was in that time that reinvention must be embraced, prospered, flowered and prepared. Let there be no mistake - Reinvention IS THE ULTIMATE FLOWER OF GROWTH.
I will close this blog with the words of Des'ree
You Gotta Be:
Listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the future holds
Try and keep
your head up to the sky
Lovers they may cause your tears
Go ahead release
your fears
Stand up and be counted don't be 'shamed to cry
You gotta
be, you gotta be bad
You gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser
You gotta be
hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together
All I know, all I know love will save the
day
Herald what your mother said
Read the books your father
read
Try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time
Some may have more
cash than you
Others take a different view
You gotta be bad
You gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser
You gotta
be hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you
gotta be calm, you gotta stay together
All I know, all I know love will save
the day
Time asks no questions it goes on without you
Leaving you
behind if you can't stand the pace
The world keeps on spinning can't stop it
if you tried to
The best part is danger staring you in the
face
Remember, listen as your day unfolds
Challenge what the
future holds
Try to keep your head up to the sky
Lovers they may cause
your tears
Go ahead release your fears
You
gotta be bad
You gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser
You gotta be hard, you
gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm,
you gotta stay together
All I know, all I know love will save the
day
You gotta be bad
You gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser
You
gotta be hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool,
you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together
All I know, all I know love will
save the day
Got to be bold, Got to be bad
Got to be wise, no never
sad
Got to be hard, not too too hard
All I know is love will save the
day
You gotta be bad
You gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser
You gotta be hard, you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together
