I am looking for software that can standardize resumes into a common format. Any suggestions?

Our system will do that by pulling them in and creating a profile automatically - no forms/profiles need to be filled out - just email'ed (or uploaded) resume. Send me a message and we can talk further about it! swhite@hrmdirect.com

Take a look at Newton (www.newtonsoftware.com) We are an ATS company that serves enterprises and RPO’s. Newton, our web application, “absorbs” resumes in their original format (.doc, .docx, pdf, txt, html, etc) and then automatically parses them and the candidate’s contact information into your database in rich text format while storing the original document ( in case you want to download it later or send it to someone).

The nice thing about this is that you can store all your resumes in one place (securely on the web) along with notes on candidates and you NEVER to wait for a resume to download if you are just searching your DB for candidates.

Thanks for responding. I am looking into this for an engineer friend who is doing consulting work and starting to farm out engineering talent. He is now at a point where he needs a database, and being an engineer, he feels that everything would look better in the same format.

Try Rectuoso.co.uk - it will store all types of resumes, put them into  a common database, allow you to search through them using different criteria - e.g job title, sector, skills, employment history, area, postcode radius search etc etc.

I work with Humantelligence (Talent Fit recruiting suite) that use artificial intelligence to know the candidate other than what resume says. in this process, a 15 minutes test is conducted and candidate has to answer the questions and then a profile will be made accordingly which can be very helpful to know the behaviors, motivation, productive skills, life priorities etc that can be used to make strategies to retain them, engage them, motivate them etc.
