Face book is a social place and some time in the future people may try to use it for recruiting but for the most part people still use the job boards and friends.

I have a face book acciunt but the people that visit are not really looking for a new job.

Chris, thanks for the comment. Did you get a chance to read the blog post What is Working? Some companies have used Facebook with lots of success. It is starting to become a trend especially with larger socially active companies. Many of the companies we work with are starting to request we set them up with a facebook page.

Hi Patsy. I know this may not fit with the feedback you are looking for but I'll put it out there. All feedback is important.

My clients are hiring people who are, frankly, not that interested in the lated Facebook hook-ups and friend adds. The vast majority of talent I recruit are those who have certain experiences beyond what someone can gain in the first few years out of college or during their senior year internship.

I have never seen even one of the people I have placed on Facebook or Myspace.
