Much like the housing market, if you are able to invest in assets now a recruitment business will no doubt reap substantial rewards as the economic situation improves. It is certain that there is a large number of recruiters available but the question remains as to whether or not an employer
could be 'buying' a toxic debt if hasty decisions are made. Some properties are never going to make economic sense due to the cost of up-keep or repair and the difficulty in renting them out, even if on the face of it they are a bargain...
The common belief is that the top talent in our industry is gainfully employed a doing a great job and happy. As a head hunter I would argue that many are indeed doing a good job but are always open minded to hear about great career opportunities.
It is of course important for recruitment businesses to make the right decision for their business. It doesn't matter how good a potential recruiter looks or indeed is, if there are reservations about their ability to fit into the current environment employers should be ruled by their head and
say no. Too much people 'maintenance' is just not worth the hassle! Indeed it could have a detrimenal effect on your whole team.... beware.
At
CNA Executive Search we are willing to invest in adding recruiters to a newly formed business created out of the purchase of
CNA International by
Pertemps Investments.
We believe that anybody joining us will be at the forefront of an exciting growth strategy able to influence their future career path as the company grows. There is no doubt that the use of search methodologies in the recruitment market will be more highly utilised as companies need to secure their own top talent with particular skills - a talent all too scarce, even as unemployment grows. We also recognise that the development of an Interims practice will be a complementary service to our clients moving forward....
I have been around the recruitment industry for a long time! It is rare that a start-up is supported by a
multi million pound parent company! Im very happy to say that being involved meets all my aspirations even in todays climate. My colleagues and I are confident that now is absolutely the best time to build a business and cement client relationships for the future....
we have big plans.
There are many issues (not all covered here!) a company must look when seeking to expand a business, but I wonder what recruiters are generally thinking today? Are recruiters putting careers on hold due to the uncertainty of current economic conditions? Are recruiters willing to take a leap of faith into a new working environment?
Or are the rising stars of our industry confident in their ability and ready to take control of their destiny!
