World's Record Placement (Most Patents)

I'm curious if anyone else has been successful in placing prolific inventors, and if there is any known "most number of approved patents" for any particular inventor who was placed by an Executive…Continue

"Employment Offers" vs. "Recruiting Emails": What's the Difference?

Are "recruiting emails" the same as "employment offers"?  I specifically think NOT, because it's really impossible to make a legitimate offer to someone in a mere email without extensive…Continue

The Demise of Recruiting Has Been Greatly Exaggerated

Started Jun 11, 2017 0 Replies

I see articles frequently about how recruiters are all on the verge of being replaced by machines...  interesting considering the profession of recruiting has been around for thousands of years.  So,…Continue

World's Record Placement (Most Patents)

I'm curious if anyone else has been successful in placing prolific inventors, and if there is any known "most number of approved patents" for any particular inventor who was placed by an Executive Recruiter.  I placed one individual with 409 patents approved and 364 additional applied for.  I once worked with a candidate with over 700 approved patents, but didn't quite succeed in placing him.  He got the offer, but I couldn't quite close him on the money.See More

"Employment Offers" vs. "Recruiting Emails": What's the Difference?

Are "recruiting emails" the same as "employment offers"?  I specifically think NOT, because it's really impossible to make a legitimate offer to someone in a mere email without extensive communication.A new California law would outlaw all email "employment offers".  What consequences would this have?See More

New "Laws" Enforcing Hate-Crimes Against Recruiters

I've lived in California my entire life, and I suspect that my state would probably still belong to Mexico instead of the USA, if it hadn't been annexed after the discovery of gold in 1849. Apparently, the concept of "Capitalism" and "Business" is what America wanted in California, and that is why we are part of this Nation. I’m actually a seventh-generation Californian, whose great-great grandfather founded UCLA and (essentially, thereby) the entire UC school system. My…See More

How NOT To Get The Job (for ChemEs)

Posted on August 9, 2018 at 7:57pm 0 Comments

IF you are looking for a job, and are a Chemical Engineer, or perhaps any other kind of highly-qualified, highly employable person, here is my advice:

The job market is currently good -- according to the Media, the Anti-Media, and many other indicators; but Summer is always a slower time in the Job Market (except when it isn’t), so now it’s probably a wise time to sit down, take note, and figure out ways to avoid NOT getting the job you want, when it’s pretty clear to you that: (1)…

Fighting "Fake News" in the Recruiting World

Posted on July 6, 2017 at 12:00am 0 Comments

I was just listening to a discussion of the multiple legal infractions involved in threatening to slander someone for conducting perfectly legal business and it reminded me very much of my own experiences several years ago.  Reiterating my position on the illegal conduct of the now-defunct "Fordyce Letter", they were involved in a conspiracy to extort and defame me, prior to going out of operation.

Here is a link to the 2013 article in question, which was never retracted, and is still…

Solving the Search/"Spam" Problem
