I got into a debate with some friends the other day and we really struggled with who is or was the greatest rock guitartist? Some said Jimi Hendrix, others said Duane Allman. Jimmy Page, Santana, Eddie Van Halen...who is the best of all time? This needs to be resolved. Thanks for your input.

WAS - Hendrix

IS - Joe Perry! Hands down!
What about Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Randy Rhodes or Zack Wylde (Ozzy's current guitarist)?
1. Jimi Hendrix
2. Eric Clapton
3. Stevie Ray Vaughn
4. Buddy Guy
5. Frank Zappa
6. Chuck Berry
7. Steve Howe
8. Eddie Van Halen
9. Edge
10. T. Bone Walker

If you every played, you will understand this list. The greatest you enjoy listening to, is a different list for many.
and he was great in Roadhouse!

You need to see him play
Too many styles to consider... for example - Duane Allman as the greatest rock guitarist... one must narrow down by field of excellence... ever heard Jimi play Classical style?

“Hey man, have you heard the news, The Slouches soon to come to you!"
Just let me know when the “brothers slouch” bust out with the news, love it…so are they “the slouches”, “nothing but the slouches”…. so many possibilities ;)
