I am helping people who are out of work re-write their resumes and coaching them on how to dress for an interview as well as, intervieiwing techniques. If you know someone in need please feel free to have them reach out to me at pamjcrouch@gmail.com. I would like to think in some small way I am helping someone.

Good Morning, I have found WizTalent Recruiting Software is the best of all that I have researched and worked with. Where my team is very much happy by using WizTalent and spam proof. They love using this new technology software as there is no need to spend much time in copy/paste the entire resume or download the resumes from the job boards, just a single click and the selected resume is routed to the submittal form where you can recheck the resumes...

Great idea Gerry!

One thing we're proud of at CoolWorks.com is that we are members of 1% For The Planet. Basically what this means is that 1% of our sales are given to this organization each year and they distribute the funds to organizations that serve the earth.

Check them out. : )

I know a couple of recruiters in my area who do job search seminars for various groups. One in particular volunteers with inmates about to be released.

I too will help shed some light on our colleagues doing good things in their communites.

This is a good idea Jerry. So now, you need to invite all your recruiting contacts here and lets see if we can do some more good

Several years ago in preparing for a gig Mark and I had at an SAIC all-hands recruiter meeting in DC, I spent a couple hours sourcing mentions of the company's recruiters as fodder for a point I wanted to make.

I uncovered a dozen notices about one SAIC recruiter in local tabloids. she was holding meetings nearly every week. The locations were different though- a community center, a church, a synagoge, an employment office. The messages were all the same however. She was offering to counsel people with disabilities on how to overcome the challenges they faced in the recruiting process and find great jobs at SAIC and other firms. You just had to be blown away...and none of her colleagues knew about it.

What is your firm doing to recruiters lending a hand? It seems to me there is a lot our Industry can be proud. We should be capturing some of the efforts of our colleagues to make a difference. I'm personally committed to looking for them and outing them.
