Why Recruiters LOVE Linkedin and HR leaders might HATE Linkedin.

Top 3 Reasons Why Recruiters (both corporate and external) Love Linkedin:

1) LinkedIn has become the best hunting ground for recruiters.

2) As more companies are asking their employees to become participants in “social media” candidate referral programs, more employees are using sites such as Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter – making it insanely easy for…

1. Change your LinkedIn Public Profile URL link to one that has your name such as > http://www.linkedin.com/in/johnsmith (change it to your name. if… Continue

Hi Lisa,
My name is Kristen,
I saw your ad for a sourcer. My company is a vendor to firms like yours... We provide outsourced research- we are experienced and come from a recruiters background. I don't want to impose, but I saw that you were looking and figured I would introduce myself. Nothing to lose in a bit of networking, right?

Technology

These are tough times for job seekers. The U.S. unemployment rate held steady in June at 5.5%, the highest rate since October 2004. The outlook is especially bleak in residential construction and automobiles, and for workers without a college degree.

Tech-related jobs figure prominently on Jobfox's list of 20 "recession-proof" occupations. Among the most sought-after positions are software developer, which ranked No. 2; system administrator, who manages increasingly complex corporate networks, at No. 6; and quality-assurance tester, who designs automated processes for testing products, at No. 12. Technology executive, particularly chief technology officer, was ranked No. 16.
