Tough Times for Exec Search Firms in DC

On the front page of today's Washington Post Business Section. Even in the country's best job market, search firms are feeling the pinch. Many are shifting lines of business, shedding poor performers, but uncertainty still reigns supreme. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel however due to upcoming bailout and stimulus spending, which reminds me of my late grandfather telling me stories about how life in DC during the Great Depression wasn't so bad, primarily due to the proximity of… Continue

New Corporate Recruiting Blog - Success Starts Here

Today, a vision has been realized.

A few years back, I attended my first ERE Expo in San Diego. It was there that I was first truly exposed to blogs, and their possibilities in the world of recruiting. I came home from that event in a frenzy, with a dozen to-do items that I felt we could address, including creating a corporate recruiting blog for my employer at the time (Gary Cluff can attest to this). I feel you, Ben. If my post (which was just an interesting topic to post on over a cup of coffee, and nothing else as the video was featured here which thereby led to it!) is off base, let me know and I'll rip it down. Trust me that it's not that important to me :)

Ben-Thanks, it is refreshing and insirational to read about our industry from someone who is successful, honest and easy to follow. I probably spent the good part of 4 hours last night following your various posting.

I noticed that we are second degree contacts on Linkedin.com, it would be great to connect with you there as well:
