Facial Distortion

I found this site a couple weeks ago - http://www-old.cs.st-andrews.ac.uk/~morph/Transformer/. Check it out; you might need to download Java, but it's worth it! You can check out what you'd look like older, younger, as a baby, as a painting, and the coolest stuff: what you might look like as different ethnicities. Check out some of my different "looks" below! …

Candidate with no eyebrows

I just posted a question on LinkedIn asking what is the most unusual experience people have had with candidates. This is one of my favorite questions ever, because it always results in me laughing so hard tears stream down my cheeks! aaaahhh - sometimes we just need the comedy in the middle of our day. My latest was a candidate whose eyebrows were shaved off. Hey - my client didn't specify eyebrows as one of the job requirements!!! hee hee hee

One of the LinkedIn question responses I…

A Glimpse Into A Recruiting Animal's Psyche

Today was my last day

writing on Recruiting.com. But more exciting than that, today I was on

the Recruiting Animal Show. Not many people have gotten to witness

first hand the way he and I communicate together. It is sometimes very

difficult given the fact most of what he says sounds like barks and

growls. Anyways, it is rare glimpse into what goes on between the two of us on an almost daily basis.…

Blog Promotion

Given that this is an online community about recruiting blogs, we must all have a blog, or at least be considering one. So we must be interested in promoting these blogs, and increasing our Page Rank.

Over on ERE I put forward the idea of using a Wiki (style) process to generate a Definitive Document, in this case for Hiring in China. See…

Yeah RecruitingBlogs.com I found my peeps on the Blogosphere..

I have undergone a radical personal productivity "life art" recently. This consists of learning to live my best authentic self in recruiting, health and fitness. This hunger for knowledge and positive change has taken some interesting turns lately.

For Recruiting, I often visit the sites of Vincent Wright, Bill Vick and Jim Stroud -- because they offer relevant information that inspire, relate to best practices, etc..

For Health, those of you who know my interesting… Continue

Use Scripts When Recruiting

This is interesting. Bill Vick interviewed a guy named Jordan Rayboy. He is a top biller accoprding to Bill and what I found most interesting is that 7 years ago when Jordan got into the business, he did great his first year and used no scripts. Seven years later, he is still doing great and he uses scripts for everything. I am a huge beleiver in scripts. Use them, they work, you are not above them.

My domain Names

Here is a list of most of my domain names. I know that people will go out and register a whole bunch of them related on these. I have a few good stories about things like that. I don't really mind if you do. I am always interested in buying more of them so if you have any good recruiting related domain names or if you have any one word domain names that you are interested in selling for less than $20,000, let me… Continue

Of particular interest to me are the following:

  • Recruiting hard to find talent in candidate driven markets
  • Creative recruting ideas
  • Combensation and Benefits issues related to…

Twilight: Pattinson in New Moon breaks midnight record

The new Twilight vampire movie took a record $26.3m (?15.9m) in midnight showings at North American box offices, studio Summit Entertainment has said.

That beats the previous North American record of $22.2m (?13.5m) for midnight openings, taken by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in July.

Experts have predicted that New Moon will have one of the biggest opening weekends for a non-summer film.

The first movie in the series, starring Robert Pattinson, made… Continue

Hacked E-mails Fuel Climate Change Skeptics

Hundreds of private e-mails and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change.

The e-mails, attributed to prominent American and British climate researchers, include discussions of scientific data and whether it should be released, exchanges about how best to combat the arguments of skeptics, and casual… Continue
