Hey Recruiters: It's time to turn on the lights and chase the cockroaches out. The story below is real and happened just this past week. It’s a story of fraud and one that has real world implications on my business.
If you haven’t heard the radio commercials for Zip Recruiter, you must listen to some remote C & W station from Muleshoe, Texas.
My latest experience with Zip Recruiter
I was minding my business yesterday; I answered my phone. …

Most of us remember the first few weeks or months of our start in recruiting marked by the horrific memory of the first mistake we made or the first weird happening. Although somewhat lost in the mists of time there are two that i will never forget.
I was preparing for my first cold call presentation of a candidate. Went over my candidate's resume and interview notes for at least an hour. Even wrote myself a script with the fellows name i was going to call. Will never forget his…

I tried to send you a personal message, I haven't seen you comment in a while, and I wanted to wish you all the best. Sometimes life just sucks.
Sandra,
This is the first I've heard or read of you... your Eulogy for your friend touched me dearly.
You are a Class Act.
You are an example to us all as was your friend.
Wish you the best,
Norm Lacroix

Sandra, thanks for connecting.. I didn't even know we could have "friends" on the Recruiting Blog.
I think you followed that I was thinking our friend was pure bull... he was looking for us to tell him some new tools and techniques that he could go tell his clients to use, and then he would charge them big bucks for "consulting" services.
He did reply with "I'll match your 30 years" and I found that interesting, because his profile only says 15.. but, I get too argumentative and sometimes don't really want to waste the time..
Hope all is well in Amarillo - If you ever go too far East on I40, get off at Old Hickory - mile marker 221B... I'll buy you a Margarita at Cinco de Mayo about 2 miles from where I live.
Charlie (Feel free to connect on LinkedIN also.. that's where I keep track of most..
Sandra - thank you for inviting me to be your friend on RecruitBlogs. I very much enjoyed your "Dear Katie" letter. Your postings are always original, well written, and thought provoking. Would be interested to know your opinion on WordPress.com as an alternative to Facebook. I decided to post on the WP, but not Facebook. Your thoughts?
Thank you for the invitation- a final thought for you re: hats and recruiting...is that "many are called and few are chosen", ranks right up there with "age is a state of mind over matter, and if you don't mind...it doesn't matter!
