I’ve worked with hundreds of niche job boards over the years. The good ones are laser focused on their niche and just ‘look like’ they work. A good logo, hero image, solid domain, enough job listings are the basics you have to get right. Beyond that, its really about sticking with it for the long...

I'm a veteran of the online recruitment industry. In 2012 I sold my first company AllCountyJobs.com, and now I spend my time as a recruitment marketing consultant to job boards, HR tech startups and employers who need help with digital recruiting.
My colleagues call me the "Mad Scientist of Online Recruiting" because I'm always experimenting with new tech. It's a badge I wear with pride.
Please check out my podcast called "RecTech" which will teach you about how technology can help you recruit.

When I sold my job board company back in 2012 I was only spending 15 hours of my time each week running the business. It was an amazing passive income stream. Clients were loyal and kept coming back regularly to post their jobs. After 13 years online the sites essentially ran themselves.
Today I meet a lot of others who are experiencing that same feeling as they operate their job boards online. A job board that works is essentially an automatic revenue…Continue

1) How do you describe goldi to others?
goldi is the first video job board connecting job seekers and companies through short videos. From our web or ios app, companies create…Continue

I spoke to the head of Talent at Johnson & Johnson recently who told me one of the easiest things employers can do to improve their candidate experience is to rewrite your communication templates within your ATS. Especially your REJECTION templates, to sound less dreadful so that candidates don't head to Glassdoor and rant about you not hiring them.…Continue
