Jonathan Duarte asks, "
If Indeed is getting most of the content from ATS’s directly, why would they continue accepting content from a duplicate source that is not adding to their brand?"
Ever felt like you were suckered into a post? Awe, what the heck...
You can't be surprised when I say
Money is the answer, isn't it usually? Indeed has smartly positioned themselves as a…

Dear Claudia,
My marriage of 13 years ended a few months ago when my husband moved in with another woman. I haven’t said anything about it at work, but I know I’ll have to eventually. The holidays are coming, and I’m thinking about using up my vacation to avoid the parties and the inevitable explanations I’ll have to make about where Tom is. I’d really just like to avoid all the questions; what do you suggest?

I've always thought that Slouch was cool; as a result of getting to know him virtually, when we finally met in NYC some years back, I thought he was even cooler. You know what I'm talking about - Slouch is a smooth talking, cyber-squattin', mojo-with-a-phone homeboy from the mean streets of Toronto.
When I saw Jerry Albright's I-Wanna-Be-Like-Slouch picture (that it seems he took down after I talked to him about my idea), I knew I too wanted to be like Slouch.
So here's my…

Gary Small, a neuroscientist at UCLA in California who specializes in brain function, has found through studies that Internet searching and text messaging has made brains more adept at filtering information and making snap decisions.
But while technology can accelerate learning and boost creativity it can have drawbacks as it can create Internet addicts whose only friends are virtual and has sparked a dramatic rise in Attention Deficit Disorder… Continue

When I talk about the quality of our Roundtable discussions, those who read this blog who are ExecuNet members will understand immediately when I say that given the financial and economic turmoil boiling around us it is both educational and comforting to be able to listen to and learn from an audience that, while deeply concerned, continues to bring much needed perspective, and dare I say it -…

This is a crazy healthcare job market right now. Not that feast or famine is a new trend, but famine is not a lot of fun. Rehab Therapy is a great market - if you can find the therapists. Crazy sign on bonuses ($20k plus 3 day 2 night vacations) make me question some companies. I mean, who gives away a vacation before you start?? Warning bells are ringing!
In this tough job market, what has been your greatest healthcare recruiting technique? I am looking to expand our…

While awaiting the departure of a delayed flight recently, my travel companion and I decided to pass the time by having some liquid refreshment in one of the restaurants in the main terminal. During our conversation, I happened to glance at the table to my right. At this table there were two middle-aged women who looked to be in no hurry, having lunch and chatting pleasantly. This scene is neither unique nor that interesting, and I doubt that I would have paid them much notice except for the…

The next episode in my series of blog posts about running recruitment sites that really work is now live on my main blog.
This time we discus why so many of you won't let Google read your job adverts? Clearly this is not going to help you get more traffic - quite the opposite.
You need as many pages in Google as you can get, all with great content that your job seeker might actually be searching on.…
