Writing the perfect query

I’ve been reading a bit about how the effectiveness of a search is measured and have thinking how we can apply it to our sourcing/internet research efforts. What is the most efficient way to search for candidates on the internet?

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what the best sources are for finding candidates on the internet.
