Here is a lay person's take on the E-Verify issues currently at hand. As reported on January 9, the US Department of Justice has delayed the effective date for regulations requiring federal contractors and subcontractors to use E-Verify. I got a phone call recently from a "sponsor" looking to sign me up as a recruiter for their company. They make a webinar type presentation explaining the various levels of income potential but it feels too much like an MLM shell game. We came into this week hoping for a January bounce. What we got, was a mixed bag.....so far. Activity has definitely picked up. We are seeing more new jobs, interviews, processes moving along, and more clients' perspectives returning to normal.
