Also from an old blog -
TKD. The letters of this TLA (Three Letter Acronym) are emblazoned in red on the whiteboard at our firm. They're there because I put them there; and they remain there because all of us in the recruiting business recognize the importance of their meaning. Spelled out, the words are Time Kills Deals. Spelled out further, they mean that once interest has been generated, actions must shortly follow as from then on temporal entropy sets in and attraction on…

From an old blog
The total in and outbound email counter was at 1546 when negotiations resumed two weeks ago and had advanced another 134 clicks when they collapsed for the ninth time, last night**. For all the intensity yet utter lack of success to show for it, you would think that I have been attempting to bring peace to the Middle East instead of simply trying to meet a woman that I first encountered 18 months ago in cyberspace. Certainly anyone looking at this picture…

We are a fortunate recruiting firm in that our clients often count on us to fill multiple positions simultaneously. It may be a matter of winning some new business and now they have a whole team to assemble. Or, perhaps it just works out that they need a Media Director, an AE, and a Traffic Manager all the same week. We know how to walk and chew gum at the same time, so it’s not a problem.
But here’s the thing…if you can really give me a clear indication of what the priority is, all…

Onboarding is the process of acclimating new employees to the work environment. Starting a new employee off on the right foot is absolutely crucial. Yet it is a process that is often ignored or poorly executed. While some organizations understand the need to effectively introduce new employees to their surroundings, onboarding strategies at many companies fall into one of two categories: (1) “Onboarding Strategy? What’s an onboarding strategy”? OR (2) “OK, now that you’ve filled out the new…

Did you see Jason's recent email highlighting the conversation Between Josh Letourneau and David Manaster? Josh's post is an attempt to build a conversation about the economic consequences of a downturn on our industry. David's rejoinders move the conversation off-topic and onto the differences between ERE and RBC.
Interesting…

Here is a little more info on the company. I would say that the biggest way that they are different from Bounty Jobs is that they are an open marketplace where recruiters do not need to be invited to register to use their site where the opposite is true with Bounty Jobs. Also, they give recruiters the ability to post split jobs. Bounty Jobs does not have this feature. Last, Dayak does not market themselves to companies as a vendor…
