splits.org onto Twitter and have set up some split partnerships with other agencies.
I like the ability to follow other people and many people have started to follow
my tweets as well. It's like having a…

The interview is one of the most important elements in your job search, and often a job can be won or lost in this stage. To increase your chances for success it is imperative that you prepare properly.
To begin you need to extensively research the company, and with the help of the internet this should be fairly easy. Start by reviewing the company's website and looking at all the individual pages including 'about us', 'the management team'…

There is a lot of talk about if, when, which, and how to use social media tools - whether you are recruiting or searching for a job. I have been an avid user of many of these tools as a part of my toolkit -- and I have used them in my role as a Corporate Recruiter, Consultant, and even a Candidate.
As a Corporate Recruiter, I made a choice to make myself accessible to potential candidates via these tools. I know many shudder at that thought, however I have been surprised that more…

I’ve covered several topics in my posts that were aimed towards helping decision makers select the right applicant tracking system. Each of these posts, with a bit of modification, could really be applied to any sort of solution. The purpose of software after all is to simplify processes, reduce costs/time, and align objectives with overall organizational goals. I have never seen a vendor that promised their solution would drain your money and cause you headaches, however, I see this all of the…

There is an official definition for unemployment that everyone can find at the Bureau of Labor Statics (BLS.gov). However, because unemployment, and employment calculations do not count all peoples, and have a limited view of the labor force for reporting numbers, they inadequately capture our potential problems.
We should consider the additional indicators when assessing our Labor Market problems, and the BLS does have some addition stats they consider, but the system as a whole…

All the brouhaha over lay-offs and pink slips is finally coming to an end, whether temporarily or for next few years, only time will tell. I recently graduated with an MBA and the speculation whether the economy is picking up was driving me to an edge. The only solace was that there were more people like me around – people sitting at Starbucks with their laptops open and job alerts popping on their screen and speaking to headhunters for “relevant” opportunities.
However, what I…

Naming a career site is something everyone thinks they can do – but few do well. Sorry, folks, it’s true. A good name is hard to find (and a good URL is even harder).
Well, you may ask, why? Let me suggest that these names come in 3 basic flavors, each presenting its own particular set of benefits and problems.

Employers need to ask themselves: "Are we missing out on some very talented, very experienced candidates in these other MBA populations?" The answer is yes. Over the past few years, the gap has closed between the full-time MBA student and these experienced part-time, evening, executive and alumni MBAs. Companies are sitting on an amazing pool of talent. If done correctly, resumes AND job posting are the most effective. While resumes allow you to get deeper and more hands-on in the recruiting process,
MultiPost job postings can do that work for you.
Searchable resume books will help you find the best candidates and the best matches "on paper." But job postings will bring you the candidates who are actually interested in your job opening. And even in this…
