Three Steps and a Breather

I don't think I've taken a four day break from blogging since I started this gig in '04.

However, being on the road last week put me three steps behind, so I've enjoyed taking a breather to catch up.

So, I got my three steps* back and I'm ready to roll.

More T-Mo jobs comin' next week - stay tuned.

*all that talk about "three steps" takes me back to the 8th grade and this… Continue

Applicant Tracking Software

Hi All,

I am so glad I found Recruiting Blogs!

I have worked in the software for staffing industry for 13 years now and still love it!

I worked as a contractor software engineer for several years when one of my staffing firms needed help with their

Applicant Tracking system they had built themselves. At that time 1994, there were only a hand full of packages

available and I was encouraged to build a product for the market.

I have been… Continue

Secrets to Success...I got them!

There truly is a "secret to success". 1. Get up early 2. Work Hard 3. Find Oil

There are tons of people who always complain about their job, the long hours they work and that they need more hours in the day to get things done. Having been tired of hearing co-workers complain and whine I realized I had been one of them incognito! It’s just that I did my whining (and my wine-ing) at home. Don't misunderstand me, I loved my job and the people I worked with, but you just can't hire…

I think This CornFlake Has a Face

OK, so first there was a piece of toast with the Virgin Mary's face burnt onto it. And then there was the piece of Nutrigrain that looked like ET. But why couldn't the trend have died there? The whole idea of auctioning off these edible artifacts is getting ridiculous. After spending less than 20 minutes on ebay, without even searching for these items, I came across a piece of "very sad" toast, another nutrigrain ET, a bbq steak the shape of Australia, yet ANOTHER nutrigrain ET, a penis…

Happiness is not only skin deep!

Being that this is my first post on this site, figured I had to give a brief run through of who I am and where I am from, not tomention what I am doing now. So here goes.....

Had been running my own graphic design firm for the past 20 somewhat years, hiring anf firing and doing the gamut required to be successful. I became friendly with a client of my husbands, Robert Model who had an executive recruiting firm. Bob had an interesting idea and needed someone to implement his ideas…

Gerry Crispin and Blogs

I had a few drinks with Gerry Crispin

this evening. He was in Toronto doing work. Every time I get a few

hours with him, and lately it has been quite a bit, I always walk away

with a sense that anyone can really do anything or that anyone can

change the things around them.

I usually have to hold myself back when talking with people who know

things about things I am interested. Once I was at a wedding and I… Continue

RecruitingBlogs.com Stuff

I wanted to point out a few creative pages that have been set up on RecruitingBlogs.com. The reason for this is that next week I will be announcing a contest and in order to participate, you will need a RecruitingBlogs.com profile. Of course you can wait until the announcement but now is as good a time as any to get one.

No sleep for me in vegas.

The Kennedy Show is great and I did not go to sleep last night. I hung out with Gerry Crispin till 4am and then made it through till now.

Yesterday there was a discussion on blogs and the one thing that really struck me was that when the question was asked how many people in the audience are thinking about starting a recruiting blog, way more hands went up than last year when the same question was asked.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

I have had some great…
