So I’m sitting at my desk, drinking my 9:00 a.m. Lady Grey tea, black with one sugar, and munching on some green grapes. This little break is Nancy Nirvana where I enjoy delicious fresh fruit and a wonderful lightly sweetened tea while reading my email digests, checking out recruitingblogs.com, etc. Birds are chirping, the sun is shining – you get the picture.
Delicately picking my gorgeous grapes off the vine and placing them into my bow-shaped mouth (I wish!), one teeny tiny little… Continue
Hi fellow competitors! I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a social networking site where you can rant or rave about issues pertaining to the staffing industry and human resources in general. The catch is that we also have members who are either former candidates or interested in learning more about the recruiting process that you can also meet and share ideas, best practices, and advice, etc with them. We also share a lot of neat articles within the industry and hiring as a… Continue

Hi! I'm currently recruiting for a Distribution Analyst in the Atlanta area. We are looking for someone with a background in the printing industry optimizing distribution and improving revenues for print products (magazines, newspapers). The search is proving to be a difficult one. I would love any insight or information from recruiters who have worked on this type of position before. Any help would be much appreciated!! Well, I found out... it's tough.... I"m not sure why... maybe after a whole day in the office, talking, and talking and talking, I may actually be out of words.... No one that knows me will believe it, but maybe this is the case.
When Microsoft was being hounded by the DOJ on antitrust issues, Bill Gates continued to put forward, with some audacity, his company’s mission “to get a workstation running our software onto every desk and eventually in every home.” This signaled to software buyers that MSFT was intent on maintaining their OS as the standard and, to employees, it made clear what their… Continue

Recently I read an article in the Harvard Business Review that changed the way I look at leadership and the competencies of a good leader. In the article "Where Will We Find Tomorrow's Leaders" by Linda Hill, she talks about leadership in the global economy.......

I just signed up on the site because so many people at the Portland, OR Recruiters Roadshow seemed to think highly of it. After browsing a bit I have to agree.
