We then ask them to bring the most current copy of their Company…

I've been a successful technical recruiter for 30+ years. Now that I'm in the twilight of my career I look back on my career and I am so glad I'm almost at the finishline. For the past 10 years I feel more like an admistratrive assistant, rather than a professional recruiter. For those of you who don't remember. Does anyone have suggestions for FREE Data Capture/Export tools for LinkedIn? I have tried a paid app called Network Grabber but it was buggy so am looking for another easy way to export LinkedIn contact into to Excel, ACT, or whatever.
Thanks in advance.

Agency Recruiters: Before you go home today ask yourself these simple questions. The answers should determine whether you should feel good about peeling out of the office this afternoon.
Do you have a new candidate for your client today? Not a resume that looks good or the phone number of someone you heard “might” be looking. I’m talking about a qualified candidate…

While ‘my’ eccentric Portland may actively embody the first two statements, it -along with the rest of the country- could still benefit from the third. Aside from the associated warm-n-fuzzy feelings, the slew of advantages from hiring locally just makes good…

Who didn’t have a fast food job when they were still in school? Jobs for students have traditionally centred on the fast food industry or fashion because it’s great to work where your peers hang out.Generation Z is heading into the part time workforce now and not much has changed, but some teens keenly seek out…

Here’s a scenario for you to try out: One of your management team rushes into your office one cold Monday morning all out of breath. She is one of your sharper managers and she seems to be very excited about something. She pulls up just short of your desk and, after several sharp intakes of air, she announces, “I want to implement a new human resources practice here at Widgets Inc., one that we will…

What’s the big deal, really? A résumé is a résumé right? The point is to throw everything you ever did on paper, and of course the longer the résumé the more proof you have that you’re experienced and valuable, right? It’s not like a résumé really matters because you will totally win them over during the interview – of course. When this is the talk track from clients, friends, family or people I just happen to…
