Can anyone provide any insight into recruiting in the gaming industry? I am currently in IT and have been for a very long time within financial companies, insurance...and i think it is time to move on and focus on something a bit different.
In addition, i am ready to make the move out on my own and start my own company and i firmly believe especially in this marketplace or any other, a niche is needed to separate yourself from everyone else out ther. Gaming has always been an interest of…

I have been using the law of attraction to obtan employment. The first time I used it, I visualized the type of employment that I wanted to have right down to having a ladies room located directly across from my office. I made my list and checked it twice and left the rest up to the Universe to deliver. Long story, short, I received a phone call 3 weeks after making my list and most of the things that I wanted for my next gig were offered to me. I interviewed for the position and was offered…

Internal corporate recruiters have a number of advantages.
They can interact with the managers.
They understand the corporate culture.
They are more up to date on changing requirements and priorities.
They know who was recently hired.
They have access to the company database of candidates.
They can use the company accounts for job boards.
They can place ads on the company website.
They can review the incoming resumes.
So with all this…

Everyone loves a bargain, but when hiring talented professionals it can sometimes come back to bite you as you continue to grow your staff. We recently worked with a client that has experienced just such a problem and the fix is hard to swallow. The client has (with our help) found some very talented professional as they moved from a three to a ten person team. Originally they weren’t able to offer top dollar salaries, but because of the strong growth and current technology they’re jobs were…

Have you ever noticed the only planes you read about in the paper are the ones that
crash?
This is similar to when your company loses a client. Think back on an occasion when a
long-standing client went with a competitor because of one bad experience. You might

How do we avoid such occurrences?
Employ the right staff, that’s…

His talk included a MAJOR takeaway that external and internal recruiters alike would be advised to remember.
The cost of NOT FILLING the position, may be WAY MORE than the cost of using their internal or external recruiters.
Especially in leadership and sales positions, there is a time / revenue / bottom line cost to…
