Hello Recruiting Experts! I meant to post this here as opposed to open discussions.
I'm looking to post one of my jobs located in Wokingham over in the UK on one of the top job boards. It is a junior level operations (a little technical focused) job and would be great for anyone out of school. If any of you could recommend one they've used, please do let me know. Feel free to contact me directly - my email is yardley.greene@sourcefire.com
Thanks!!!

Why?
Influence is the process in which one changes another person’s behavior. When presenting a product or service we must first create an offer that will capture the prospect. When we pitch our case in an influential manner, we find ourselves…

The executive team meets – an agreement is reached. The job description is written, then passed on and edited, and revised, and reviewed, and edited to include the typical “works well with others” sections – and TADA. You have your typical job description.
I often liken job descriptions to personal ads just as I have likened recruiting to matchmaking. My consultants usually chuckle when I give them the following analogy:
“Job descriptions are like personal adds. If you’re…

OK that’s not true. Actually it’s a complete lie, but I did attend a .Net developers user group meeting and received 90 minutes of free training, and while it wont’ help me it would have certainly be beneficial to many developers whose future career opportunities are defined by continued growth and knowledge in their field.
Unfortunately out of the hundreds of people that could have benefited a mere 35 people showed up. This is completely illogical as there is no membership fee, no…

So you say you've got a strong network, huh? You say that you've 900 friends on MySpace and that your Facebook cup runneth over? You're boasting that your LinkedIn profile now carries that fancy little +500 icon and that you're networker to be reckoned with? Gosh, that's great for you.
I suppose my next question is... Why?
I'm of the opinion that there are "

1. Prepare in advance. Tech can do a lot of things, but it won't…

Job interviews are starting to look a lot alike. The same questions are being asked over and over again and they are getting the same responses.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
There is nothing wrong with these questions, as long as candidates are willing to give honest answers and recruiters are willing to listen. Otherwise, it can become pretty hard to distinguish the right candidate from the…

A growing number of jobseekers find themselves in the midst of a long-term job search. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. jobless rate soared to a four-year high of 5.7% in July 2008 and the average job search took more than four months to net results. However, some critics would put this number and the number of the unemployed much higher.
Helen Kooiman, author of Suddenly Unemployed asserts, "Such statistics are inaccurate indicators. They do not include those whose…

Being a manager is not easy. As the economy loses steam and companies tighten their budgets, management skill is even more essential. In good times, when organizations are growing and money flows more freely, mistakes can be and often are overlooked. The pressures of that next project and the opportunities for that next sale often preclude a clear and unbiased look at the effectiveness of the team.
Conversely, recriminations can grow when budgets tighten, projects are cancelled and…
