My name is Elizabeth (Recruiter Betty) I love comic sans even though I was once told it was the most unprofessional font ever and I am a Technical Recruiter or as I like to say "Technically a Technical Recruiter" I have been recruiting for a short time 109 days to be exact (I know rediculous that I am counting). Mention the fear of cold calling and you’re hitting on a problem many recruiters face at some point in their careers. Sales call reluctance, or perhaps more apt: ‘recruiting’ call reluctance; often stems from deep inside the person’s psyche and can be a serious headwind to any recruiter’s career – especially if they don’t acknowledge they have a problem and thus do nothing…

IT, VB.Net, HR, AP, c++,IP, ID, iOS, CIO, SAP, C#, ASP.Net….oh, my!
Years ago I worked in HR for a world-renowned IT company. This company was known for acronym’s – starting with its name - so it’s surprising our division was called Personnel rather than HR. Personnel ran the gamut of responsibilities from recruiting, to salary…

Lion vs. Gazelle …
Every morning in Africa, A gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning a lion wakes up.
It knows it must out run the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.
It does not matter whether you are a lion or gazelle, when the sun comes up you had better start running. – Jim Rea
