We all loved Sales Prospector by SalesLoft... isn't it? but for some reason they decided to stop Sales Prospector and from their point of view it look valid. But for many people it was time to hunt for other product which work in line with Sales Prospector.
Earlier in January 2015 I started working on eToggler.com which would make sales/candidate…Continue

As someone with scientific training, related to a Nobel geneticist (a farmer/agriculturalist) it has piqued my curiosity whether or not there really is a "gene" for hunting (and/or "headhunting"). Using the results of my DNA test from Ancestry.com, I plugged them into a computer model called "Eurogenes K7" on the Gedmatch.com site.
This particular computer model is…Continue

You know that terrifying moment when you look into the mirror after a haircut, and it is completely not what you wanted. Of course, you have to be politely British and say “I love it!”… but you absolutely hate it!! Or what about when tradesman say they are going to have your work done by next week… but one month later you’re still waiting for it to be done. Or when…Continue

With all the extremely difficult jobs you have to fill, you also have to work with either outdated tools or the new tools that don't work and everything in between. The candidates you could source from CareerBuilder and Monster you would still have to pay the excessive fees and long contracts to source for candidates that wouldn't do your client any good or your recruiting business any good either? Why you ask?
Well people haven't been back to monster or careerbuilder or even worse…Continue

We're all familiar with the "one size fits all" model that is typical of SaaS products and solutions for talent selection and acquisition. Launch the software and you "may" get some level of support, but beyond that, you're pretty much on your own. Amid the growing demand for HR technology, shouldn't there be a better way?
Now there is. It's called SaaS+, and it provides a distinct alternative, blending technology and support with critical services: implementation, validation,…Continue

I don’t work for free.
Let me re-phrase. I don’t like to work for free.
To put it another way, I totally get why people want me to work for free, but since I’m not running a non-profit (and, I would argue, if I was, I still wouldn’t work for free), and therefore I want to be paid for the work I do.
Regardless of whether the business changes its mind.
Regardless of whether an employee referral falls out of the sky.
Regardless of whether…Continue

Know what I really hate? When I attend an event expecting original content and I get the same regurgitated ideas from everyone else who speaks on the topic. It’s not only lame but it’s a big ol’ waste of my time. Unfortunately, this happens most often in those “recruiting is marketing” webinars.
The ones I used to really like as a marketer living in a…Continue

Career fairs have long served as a way to attract and pre-screen a large number of potential job candidates at one time and in one place. But two factors have lessened their efficiency.
First, the growing movement to seek out talent where it lives rather than being limited to local areas is making live job fairs obsolete. Technology and best practices for…Continue

If you’ve never had a Non Exec, a Business Coach, or a Mentor, but have been successful with your business so far you could ask why you would need one. I was in this position myself five years into growing my first business. My profits were excellent, staff retention was great and the office culture was fantastic. Why then would I need any help? The answer can be as simple as “you’re good, but do you want to be even better?” Novak Djokovic is without doubt the best tennis player in the…Continue
