Hiring for Cultural Fit Even with a Contingent Workforce

Did you know that from late 2009 to 2012 the number of temporary workers in the workforce increased by 29%? I think we can call that a rapidly growing sector of the workforce, especially when you consider that private jobs grew by less than 1% in the same time period. It’s certainly a big enough jump to keep managers and executives alike up at night considering how to manage it…

Teleworking: The Pros and Cons for Employers

What comes to mind when the word “teleworker” comes up in discussion? You may think of an entry-level 20-something parent sitting on the sofa with their laptop on the coffee table and a little one running around singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” Truth is, the …

New Digital Curriculum Fails To Accurately Reflect Current Jobs Market Claims Niche Jobs Board

The UK’s new digital curriculum doesn’t mirror the whole current digital jobs market according to the niche jobs board Bubble Jobs.

The jobs board, which specialises in advertising digital vacancies, claims that while the new syllabus will help to prepare students for some areas of the industry such as coding and web development – it fails to cover a number of the other skills that are currently in demand.

Are You Going Employer Bland?

It has been a while since your company took a look at their employer brand. Unfortunately, it falls under the radar for many. LinkedIn Recruiter Shows Fewer Results than a Basic Account

search-linkedin

Up until recently, search results in LinkedIn Recruiter (LIR) and in (any) personal account were the same. LIR provides more results available for viewing for a given search and better results visibility (and also some facets that are not available in a personal search).

This has changed dramatically.

If you have a LinkedIn Recruiter account, you must read on.

Here are three examples of searches, compared side-by-side for a personal vs a LIR…

Recruit on a Budget

One of the biggest costs a company can incur is replacing employees or adding new people as the business grows.
